Very solid all-purpose sauce
This is a great sauce for any number of uses. In heat terms, it's only slightly hotter than Tabasco, meaning that it's best sprinkled liberally on food. It has a fresh, pleasant flavour, which isn't overwhelmed by its base (often a risk with the milder sauces) - a strong pepper undercurrent livened by the spark of wasabi. As well as putting it on food you've already cooked, it also works well if added during the cooking process - although due to the relatively low heat, you may need to add a fairly large quantity - or alternatively, if you keep the dosage down, it won't scare off elderly relatives or others with a sensitive palette.
Things I've found it goes well with: burgers, pizza, seafood, chicken, salads, sandwiches, cheese on toast, or used as an ingredient when cooking spaghetti bolognaise or other pasta dishes.
Things I've found it doesn't go so well with: strongly flavoured food, such as curries or chili-con-carne, where the flavour can become lost.
